Kendall™ Calcium Alginate dressings are a soft, sterile, non-woven dressing composed of calcium-sodium alginate fibres. When Kendall™ Calcium Alginate dressings come into contact with wound exudate they develop a gel consistency. Also available is Kendall™ Calcium Alginate with Zinc providing added benefits.
Kendall™ Calcium Alginate dressings are indicated for:
- Venous leg ulcers
- Pressure ulcers
- Arterial ulcers
- Diabetic ulcers
- Donor sites
- Lacerations & abrasions
- Post surgical incisions
- Second degree partial thickness burns
- External wounds with moderate to high wound exudate
- May be used on infected or contaminated wounds when changed daily
- Controlling minor bleeding
