Replicine™ Functional Keratin® proteins have been shown to activate keratinocyte cells present in the wound and to stimulate them to quickly enter a hyperproliferative phase, an essential phase of wound healing[1].

Using Replicine Functional Technology, keragel and keragelT™ are keratin rich gels designed for full and partial thickness wounds, skin disorders and Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). They help create a moist wound environment which promotes autolytic debridement and supports the wound healing process.

keragelT™ has a lower viscosity and so is thinner than keragel™, this is better suited to application to the delicate skin of EB patients.

Key Benefits

  • Delivers Replicine Functional Keratin to the wound
  • Maintains a moisture rich environment
  • Can be used on both intact skin and open wounds
  • Increases the rate of proliferation and migration of keratinocyte cells
  • Faster epithelialisation rates[1,2]
  • Easy to apply

Indications for keragelT™

keragelT™ is indicated for the topical application for dry or low-exuding wounds

  • Epidermolysis bullosa

Indications for keragel™

keragel™ is designed for full and partial thickness wounds, suitable for dry and low to moderate exudate, such as:

  • Venous leg ulcers
  • Arterial ulcers
  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Skin graft donor sites
